"Room in the Inn"
A Campus for Human Development
“Room In The Inn, founded by Father Charles Strobel in the Winter of 1985 when Father Strobel opened the doors of his parish to individuals seeking sanctuary in the parking lot. Before long, momentum was building behind Room In The Inn, and by the end of 1987, 31 congregations were participating to help feed and shelter the homeless for the Winter months from November to March in Nashville. Fast forward to 2020, there are now nearly 200 congregations participating and feeding over 300 people per day.
Oxford Architecture met Father Strobel in 2006 and started bringing to life his dream of providing expanded programs and housing under one roof. Along with Executive Director Rachel Hester and her staff we were able to Program, Design and Build The Campus for Human Development.”
